USA Fencing recently announced their 2015 Hall of Fame induction class, and former Duke Blue Devil Becca Ward will be joining the USA Fencing Hall of Fame this year, receiving the highest number of votes out of all the incoming honorees. Ward had a very successful fencing career with the Blue Devils as well as competing in internationally.
Becca Ward, class of 2012, had an outstanding career with the Blue Devils winning an all-time record 3 gold medals in the NCAA Fencing Championships along with a silver medal. She also finished with the most wins and highest win percentage of any fencer in school history, compiling a 272-7 overall record winning approximately 98% of her matches.
