DALLAS – Fourth-seed Duke men's basketball advanced to the Elite Eight on Friday night, defeating No. 1-seed Houston, 54-51, in the South Region semifinal. Jeremy Roach scored 14 second-half points and Kyle Filipowski led the team with 16 points and nine rebounds. Ryan Young provided 23 key minutes off the bench, scoring four points and adding four rebounds, finishing the game +18 in the box score.
