In a somewhat surprising development Jon Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils have offered a scholarship and received a commitment from 7’1 Center Christian Reeves, from Oak Hill Academy. The 3-star prospect is currently a teammate of Duke 2023 pledge Caleb Foster at Oak Hill and joins a class that features 5 star prospects Dereck Lively, Dariq Whitehead, Kyle Filipowski and Mark Mitchell as well as 4-star shooter Jaden Schutt.
Reeves held offers from South Carolina, Boston University, Minnesota and East Carolina among others. Reeves is an effective rim protector and shot-blocker but also great touch around the basket.
