NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - Duke women's lacrosse senior attacker Katie DeSimone received All-America honors Thursday from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).
The Bay Shore, N.Y., native earned third team honors by the organization for the first time in her career.
DeSimone was stellar this season for the Blue Devils, putting up impressive numbers as one of the nation's top attackers.
She led the team and finished the season tied for 18th nationally in goals (63) and tied for 23rd in points (85). She was just the third active player in Division I with at least 190 career goals and 75 career assists as of May 9th and is the only player in Duke history with those numbers.
