Danny Manning is hitting the recruiting trail hard.
If you look at Wake Forest basketball in a continuum from Dino Gaudio to Jeff Bzdelik to Danny Manning, there are a few trend lines. Gaudio recruited well but performed miserably in almost every post-season game Wake Forest played in, from the ACC Tournament on.

Jeff Bzdelik was probably a better coach in some respects, but he didn't recruit well and certainly didn't communicate well.
