OKLAHAOMA CITY, Okla. – Duke softball seniors and Jala Wright were both named finalists for the 2024 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Award, the organization announced Wednesday.
Davidson continues to power the Blue Devils offense, leading the team in batting average (.423), home runs (17), runs scored (55) and RBI (61). The Lakewood Ranch, Fla., native is one of six players to have started all 50 games this season, primarily in the outfield. Her 61 RBI on the year ranks eighth in the NCAA and has set a Duke single-season record.
