DURHAM – Recent Duke softball graduate Claire Davidson was named the 2024 ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while 15 Blue Devils were tabbed to the All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the league office on Thursday.
Davidson, who hails from Lakewood Ranch, Fla., turned in a 3.771 GPA and graduated in May with a degree in sociology. She concluded her final season in Durham in strong fashion, leading the team in batting average (.436), home runs (18), doubles (20), runs scored (62) and RBI (67). Her 20 doubles and 67 RBI set Duke single-season records and ranked ninth and seventh in the NCAA, respectively.
