Athlon Sports released a ranking of every projected starting quarterback in the NCAA for the upcoming college football season. Despite a down year for the football program last season, expectations are high for Duke QB Daniel Jones heading into his second season. Jones is ranked as the 47th best quarterback out of 130 teams.
Jones’ ranking heading into the 2017-18 season is a huge jump from last year’s ranking. He was named the starter late after an injury to Thomas Sirk as a redshirt freshman, and entered last year ranked 101st by Athlon Sports.
