DURHAM, N.C.— In the first home Duke Athletics contest in 190 days, the Blue Devil and Virginia women's soccer teams battled for 120 minutes in heavy rain, before finishing in a 1-1 draw in double-overtime at Koskinen Stadium in Durham, N.C.
Duke (1-0-1, 0-0-1 in ACC) came from behind for the second straight match and held off a strong Virginia (1-0-1, 0-0-1 ACC) offense to remain undefeated on the young season.
"I thought we did some really nice things tonight," said Duke head coach Robbie Church. "I thought we moved the ball well.
