Although USA Basketball had a tough time getting guys to commit to training camp for the upcoming FIBA World Cup, managing director Jerry Colangelo says he’s not too worried: “Honestly, I don’t have any angst,” he told USA Today. “We’re going to have some fun.”
As he points out, it’s a young team, but as he also points out, the last few teams have also been young.
The difference is that there’s not an older vet like LeBron James or Kevin Durant to lead them (it’d be a great role for Draymond Green this year if he were participating).
