COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Duke field hockey junior Logan Clouser scored with 1:08 remaining in the game to lift the 20th-ranked Blue Devils to a thrilling 2-1 victory at No. 3 Maryland to open the ACC/B1G Cup. Duke rallied from an early 1-0 deficit to post the top-five victory.
Duke sophomore Alaina McVeigh notched the tying goal, while Piper Hampsch made three saves in goal for the Blue Devils. Duke outshot Maryland, 9-2, in the second half.
