DURHAM, N.C.—For the third time this season Duke has swept the ACC Men’s Lacrosse weekly awards with Deemer Class and Danny Fowler capturing the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. This is the first award for Fowler and the second for Class in 2016.
The duo helped the Blue Devils clinch a spot in the ACC Men’s Lacrosse Championship with a 14-8 win at Virginia.
Class, a senior midfielder, recorded a game-high five goals to lead the 13th-ranked Blue Devils to the win at Virginia. The five goals pushed his season total to 41, the most by a Duke midfielder in single-season history and just the third Duke midfielder all-time to score 40 goals in a season.
