DURHAM – Junior Wallace Clark singled to center field in the bottom of the 11th inning, securing the first sweep in program history over Miami (15-16, 6-9 ACC) on Sunday, defeating the Hurricanes, 11-10, on Jack Coombs Field.
No. 9 Duke (24-8, 9-6 ACC) trailed 7-1 in the bottom of the eighth inning, before rallying to tie the ballgame in the frame. It marks the first time since March 10, 2024, when the Blue Devils scored six runs in the top of the fifth inning.
In the top of the 11th inning, Miami scored three runs to regain the lead and put the pressure on the Blue Devils.
