NEW YORK CITY – Competing as Duke’s lone representative at the 109th Millrose Games Saturday in New York City, senior Megan Clark placed fourth in a talented women’s pole vault field with a clearance of 14-9.00 (4.50m).

Starting with the bar at 13-9.00 (4.20m), Clark successful cleared three of her four heights on the first attempt, with her only failed try coming on her first attempt at 14-1.00 (4.30m). After flawlessly vaulting 14-9.00 (4.50m), a height that earned her the silver medal at last year’s NCAA Indoor Championships, Clark was unable to clear 15-1.
