VENICE, Fla. – When stage II of the LPGA and Symetra Tour Qualifying Tournament kicks off Monday, Oct. 15 at the Plantation Golf and Country Club in Venice, Fla., Duke alumnae Sandy Choi and Leona Maguire will be two of the 193 golfers competing to advance to the Q-Series qualifying.
The stage II qualifying will feature a 72-hole stroke play with no cut from Oct. 15-18 and will be played on both the Panther and Bobcat courses at Plantation.
Highlighted by making five straight cuts to conclude the season along with placing in the top 10 in two consecutive events, Choi finished strong in 2018 on the Symetra Tour.
