DURHAM, N.C. – Duke assistant softball coach Amanda Chidester will participate in the USA Softball Women’s National Team Selection Camp on January 1-5, 2017, at the Eddie C. Moore Softball Complex in Clearwater, Fla.
Chidester has been a member of the USA Softball Women’s National since 2012. This past July, she helped the United States capture the gold medal at the WBSC Women’s World Championship in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, by batting .591 with a team-high seven home runs along with 18 RBI and 11 runs scored.
A four-year starter at the University of Michigan, Chidester was a two-time Big Ten Player of the Year pick in 2011 and 2012 and a two-time NFCA All-America honoree.
