CLEMSON, S.C. – Graduate student Chase Cheek hit a two-run pinch-hit home run with two outs in the top of the ninth to power Duke past Clemson, 4-2, and complete the series sweep on Saturday afternoon at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in Duke's final game of the regular season.
The Blue Devils (28-20, 16-17 ACC) used two home runs to plate their four runs in the contest. Cheek's home run was his first of the season and proved to be the difference-maker. Junior RJ Schreck also hit a two-run home run to bring his home run total to three for the series.
