DURHAM, N.C. - Redshirt senior Jeremy Cash has collected six midseason All-America honors after picking up eight preseason All-America accolades. It was also announced last week that Cash is a quarterfinalist for the Lott IMPACT Trophy. Last year, David Helton became the first Duke finalist for the award.
Cash recently sat down and talked about what it meant to be a candidate for the prestigious award. Established by The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation, the Lott IMPACT Trophy honors college football’s best in character and performance. The award is the first in college football to give equal weight to personal character as well as athletic performance from a defensive college player.
