DALLAS – Redshirt junior defensive tackle DeWayne Carter was announced as one of 20 semifinalists for the sixth annual Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award.
Compiled by a subset of the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Selection Committee, the semifinalists have all demonstrated a record of leadership by exhibiting exceptional courage, integrity and sportsmanship both on and off the field.
Carter, a 6-3, 298-pound Pickerington, Ohio, native has been an instrumental piece to the Blue Devils' defense during his tenure. In 36 career games, he has compiled 77 tackles, 19.
