DURHAM - Former Duke defensive tackle DeWayne Carter was selected in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills.
Carter was the 95th overall pick in the draft, and the 32nd selection in the third round.
Carter, a 6-3, 305-pound Pickerington, Ohio, product is Duke's second 2024 NFL Draft selection as Graham Barton went to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 26th overall pick. This marks the first time since 1967 that the Blue Devils had two players drafted in the opening three rounds and the 35th time overall the program has had two or more draft selections.
