Carter II Closes Initial Spring as a Blue Devil

DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke football team capped its spring season Friday, holding 15 workouts from early March to mid-April. Rising sophomore safety Michael Carter II spoke with Blue Devil Network about his initial spring session with the Blue Devils.

As a rookie in 2017, Carter II played in 12 games with two starts, against Wake Forest and Northern Illinois. The Douglasville, Ga., native totaled 18 tackles, 2.5 tackles for lost yardage, 1.0 sack, two pass breakups, one caused fumble and one quarterback pressure. He contributed 1.5 TFL, one pass breakup and one quarterback pressure in the Quick Lane Bowl as Duke defeated Northern Illinois 36-14.
