DURHAM, N.C. – Duke University rising senior Virginia Elena Carta will represent her country of Italy in the 2018 European Amateur Team Championship, which will take place July 10-14 at the Golf Club Bad Saarow Faldo Course in Germany.
Along with Italy competing will be Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, Scotland, Serbia, Spain and Sweden.
The event will feature 36 holes of stroke play July 10-11 followed by match play July 12-14.
A product of Udine, Italy, Carta is coming off turning in a 73.
