DURHAM, N.C. – Duke University women's golf recent graduate Virginia Elena Carta will take a break from studying at Cambridge to travel back to the United States for the 2019 NCAA Woman of the Year Awards Celebration, which will take place Sunday, Oct. 20 in Indianapolis, Ind.
Carta and the eight other finalists will be honored Sunday evening and one winner will be announced. The nine finalists — including three from each NCAA division — demonstrated excellence in academics, athletics, community service and leadership throughout their collegiate careers.
The celebration will be livestreamed on the @NCAA Twitter account.
