FRANCE – Recent Duke graduate Virginia Elena Carta registered another title for her already impressive resume over the weekend as she won the Women's French International Trophy Cécile De Rothschild at Golf de Bondues, France.
Carta, a native of Udine, Italy, totaled rounds of 70, 70 and 69 over the three days to finish with a seven-under-par, 209, to win by four strokes over Nataliya Gueseva (213). Only five golfers collected under par ledgers over the 54 holes.
A 2016 NCAA individual and 2019 NCAA team champion, Carta closed her collegiate career as one of only four Blue Devils to win NCAA individual and team titles.
