DURHAM – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association recently announced its 2022 NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction. Duke's quartet of Alayna Burns, Issy Carey, Alaina McVeigh and Macy Szukics represented the Blue Devils on the list.
This is the third consecutive Scholar of Distinction honor for Burns, while the other three Blue Devils garnered the recognition for the first time in their careers. Duke's four representatives are the second most among ACC programs with Louisville leading the way with seven.
