DURHAM, N.C. – Duke University women’s golfer Leona Maguire continues her busy summer of playing this week as the senior will tee it up at the Ricoh Women’s British Open from Aug. 3-6 at Kingsbarns Golf Links in Fife, Scotland.
Maguire earned the invitation to compete in the British Open after winning the 114th Ladies’ British Open Amateur in June at the Pyle & Kenfig Golf Club. Currently the No. 1 ranked amateur golfer in the world, Maguire recently competed in the U.S. Women’s Open and the LPGA Marathon Classic, but missed the cut in both events.
