DURHAM – Women's golf sophomore Phoebe Brinker has been named Duke's PNC Achievers Student-Athlete of the Week, following her first collegiate victory at the ACC Championship held at The Reserve Golf Club in Pawley's Island, S.C.
Brinker became the 16th different Blue Devil in school history to win an ACC Championship, after carding a 54-hole ledger of 10-under-par, 206, over 54 holes. Her winning score matched the Duke ACC Championship record of former teammate Gina Kim's from just a year ago.
The Wilmington, Del., native collected rounds of 70, 65, and 71 for a 10-under, 206, finishing six strokes ahead of teammate Erica Shepard.
