Congratulations to coach Brad Brownell and his Clemson program. Now entering their 10th year under Brownell’s guidance, the Tigers last year went 20-14, marking only the third time in school history its teams strung together consecutive 20-victory seasons.
Clemson has mounted 20-win records in only 14 of 66 ACC seasons (21. 2 percent).
With apologies, the recent skein was arguably the least significant such achievement at Clemson, long considered the most competitively challenged outpost in the ACC. (These days, Boston College, dangling out on a limb in New England, is in the running for that distinction.
