TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Duke women’s basketball redshirt freshman guard Mikayla Boykin will miss the remainder of the 2018-19 season after suffering a torn ACL of her right knee in the Blue Devils’ contest Thursday, Jan. 17 versus Miami in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
“We all feel for Mikayla,” said Duke head coach Joanne P. McCallie. “There couldn’t be a better, more hard-working individual than Mikayla. It is absolutely devastating for what we have to witness for her to go through this again.”
A native of Clinton, N.C., Boykin had just returned to see action in eight contests, after recovering from a torn ACL of her left knee in December of 2017.
