DURHAM – Freshman Darcy Bourne was named to the 2021 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-America First Team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday night.
The midfielder was one of 48 student-athletes who received All-America honors during the live NFHCA Awards Show. Bourne's selection comes as the 56th all-time in program history.
Following her All-South Region First Team selection, Bourne reeled in the first All-America accolade of her young career. During her rookie year, she started all 16 games while leading the Blue Devils with eight goals, 17 points and 46 shots.
