RALEIGH, N.C. – Along with a strong outing from junior Peyton St. George in the circle and nine hits, Duke softball topped NC State, 5-1, on Wednesday evening at the Curtis & Jacqueline Dail Stadium.
With the victory, the Blue Devils improved to 14-2 on the year as the Wolfpack fell to 11-5. St. George secured her fifth win of the season (5-1) while recording five strikeouts.
Senior Raine Wilson sparked the offense early, blasting a solo home run to left field for the second time this season to put Duke ahead, 1-0.
