AUGUSTA, Ga. – Riding the momentum of its victory in the last tournament, the seventh-ranked Duke women's golf team fired record-low numbers Saturday at the Valspar Augusta Invitational as the Blue Devils shot 25-under-par over 36 holes to lead the field. Duke features three golfers in the top six and four in the top 11 of the individual leaderboard at the 6,249-yard, Par 72 Forest Hills Golf Club.
The Blue Devils turned in a 14-under-par, 274, in round one and then an 11-under-par, 277, in round two for a 36-hole ledger of 25-under-par, 551. The round of 274 was the fifth-lowest and the 277 was the tie for sixth-lowest in school history on a par 72 course.
