DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke rowing team will begin its spring season Saturday with an exhibition at Clemson as part of the Carolina Cup. The Blue Devils will take on North Carolina and the host Tigers as part of the event.
Action begins at 8:30 a.m. as the boats will cover the 2,000-meter course on Lake Hartwell.
The Blue Devils took part in last year’s Carolina Cup, winning four races: V8, 2V8, V4 and exhibition 3V4. Duke finished second overall to Clemson, just one point behind the Tigers at 90-89.
"This is a good opportunity for our team, now that we’ve put in all the miles and work all winter break, to see what kind of team we want to be this spring,” head coach Megan Cooke Carcagno said.
