CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Kicking off the 2016 indoor season with the Dick Taylor Carolina Cup, Duke registered a pair of second-place team finishes Friday night in Eddie Smith Field House. The 16th-ranked women’s team totaled 49 points on the evening, while the men finished with 43 team points as both squads moved to 2-1 on the season. North Carolina took both team titles, scoring 60 points on the women’s side and 47 for the men.
“I thought we competed really well,” head coach Norm Ogilvie said. “UNC’s good, we’re good, and there was good competition.
