Blue Devils Primed for NCAA Championships Friday

DURHAM – No. 14 Duke rowing is set to make its fifth appearance in the NCAA Championships beginning Friday at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, N.J.

Duke will race three boats throughout the weekend and enters the championship as the No. 9-seed in the Varsity Four, No. 12-seed in the Second Varsity Eight and No. 15-seed in the Varsity Eight.

Eleven conferences were awarded automatic qualifications in SMU, George Washington, Virginia, Texas, Michigan, Northeastern, Princeton, Jacksonville State, Stanford, Navy and Gonzaga. Duke earned one of 11 at-large selections alongside Brown, California, Indiana, Ohio State, Penn, Rutgers, Southern California, Syracuse, Washington and Yale to round of the 22-team field.
