COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Duke wrestling program opened its 2022-23 duals campaign in Maryland on Saturday, defeating Bloomsburg (32-6) after falling to American (21-15) and Maryland (37-0).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Redshirt junior Patrick Rowland was first to put up points for the Blue Devils in the opening match against American with a 5-4 decision. Rowland improved to 2-1 on the day after securing a 6-2 decision over Bloomsburg.
- Freshman Gaetano Console made a strong debut for the Blue Devils, defeating American's Ryan Zimmerman in a 6-4 decision and garnering a 3-1 win against Bloomsburg.
