DURHAM, N.C. – The 2024 Duke field hockey season is underway as the Blue Devils hit the turf this morning for day one of preseason camp. Duke will practice for six days before its first exhibition against James Madison Aug. 18.
The Blue Devils, returning eight starters and welcoming seven newcomers, opened the day with fitness testing and skill work before playing in a small-sided game. Duke capped the first day of workouts with an intrasquad scrimmage under the lights on Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium.
