DURHAM, N.C. – Coming off registering its first victory of the season at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational, the Duke women’s golf program has moved to No. 4 in the latest Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Coaches poll, which was released Monday.
Taking the top slot was Alabama with 13 first place votes and a total of 445 points, while UCLA (5 first place votes, 436 points), Southern California (410), Duke (387) and Virginia (359) rounded out the top five teams. Vanderbilt, Texas, Florida, Arizona State, Arizona, Arkansas, Wake Forest, Washington, Kent State and Purdue close out the top 15 in the poll.
