DURHAM, N.C. - Several individual performances highlighted the Duke swimming and diving teams’ opening day of the 2017 season in a two-day double dual meet against ACC opponents Florida State and Virginia Tech at the Taishoff Aquatic Pavilion.
The Blue Devils picked up three first-place finishes on the day, beginning with Verity Abel's win in the women's 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:53.41. Yusuke Legard picked up a win on the men's side, taking first place in the 100-yard freestyle with a 44.52.
