ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Led by a strong opening-round from sophomore Jimmy Zheng, the Duke men's golf team began play in the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Championship on Friday at the Golf Club of Georgia's Lakeside Course in Alpharetta, Ga.
The Blue Devils, who were solid up and down the lineup, fired an 8-under 280 as a team on Friday to sit in fourth place overall, five off the lead set by both Texas A&M and Pepperdine at 13-under par. East Tennessee State (-9) and Tennessee (-6) round out the top five of the stacked 15-team field.
