PORTLAND, OR – Following the first round of the Nike Golf Collegiate Invite held at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in Portland, Oregon, the Duke men’s golf team found itself tied for fifth out of fifteen with 278 (-6) strokes in today’s action.
Edging out ACC rivals Wake Forest and Clemson who finished the day at seventh and eighth, respectively, the Blue Devils now share their spot on the leaderboard with Florida as both currently sit one stroke behind Southern California.
Adam Wood boasted the team’s best round to open the tournament, as the senior tallied six birdies and one bogey to cap a 66 (-5) afternoon.
