DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke rowing team opened its fall season this morning, welcoming the North Carolina women’s rowing team to Lake Michie for a Pride Race scrimmage.
The Blue Devils raced four varsity 8+ boats on the course this morning and came away with the top-two finishing spots.
“Today was a great day for both Duke and North Carolina,” head coach Megan Cooke Carcagno said. “We hosted our first Pride Race and I’m proud of the support we show every athlete in our arena. Our women raced well – it was nice to see us take first and second.
