DURHAM, N.C. – On the second day of the 2019 ACC/Big Ten Challenge, the Duke Blue Devils (3-5) dropped a tight 3-1 decision to the 24th-ranked Indiana Hoosiers (8-0) at the Duke Softball Stadium in Durham.
After falling behind by two after three innings, the Blue Devils cut the Indiana lead to 2-1 in the fourth. However, a third run in the fifth and a solid defensive effort from the Hoosiers delivered the visitors their third win of the weekend.
Duke was charged four errors on the night, with two of them resulting in a pair of runs for Indiana.
