Blue Devils Fall on the Road at Wake Forest, 64-58

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Duke traveled to Winston-Salem, N.C., Sunday and saw its 44-game winning streak against Wake Forest come to an end as the Demon Deacons defeated the Blue Devils, 64-58, at Lawrence Joel Memorial Coliseum.

With the loss, Duke drops to 17-10 overall and 6-7 in the ACC, while Wake Forest improves to 15-11, 6-7 in the league.

Duke opened the game on fire going on an 11-0 run to take a 11-2 advantage at the 4:59 mark of the first quarter, which forced the Demon Deacons to take a time out. Following that timeout, Wake Forest would go on a 13-0 run of its own to take a 16-12 lead at the end of the first quarter.
