DURHAM – For the first time in program history, Duke softball will host an NCAA Regional, after being selected as the No. 12 seed in the nation, during the NCAA Championship selection show on Sunday night.
Duke is one of 16 regional hosts sites and is the top-seeded team in the regional, welcoming Georgia, Liberty and UMBC to Durham from May 20-22. No. 9 Duke is one of two ranked teams in the last NFCA poll to compete in this regional, joining No. 18 Georgia.
