BUIES CREEK, N.C. – An early lead was never relinquished Wednesday night in Buies Creek, N.C., as the Duke Blue Devils (3-2) turned in a dominant performance from top to bottom to propel themselves to a 9-2 victory at Campbell (1-5).
Brianna Butler (2-0) led the way defensively, throwing the first complete game of her career and scattering four hits while striking out three to earn the win. On the offensive end, eight different Blue Devils recorded at least one hit, with Kristina Foreman (3-for-4) and Jameson Kavel (2-for-3) turned in multi-hit showings.
