RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil – Former Blue Devil Abby Johnston and current Duke senior Jaimee Gundry traveled to the site of the 2016 Olympic Games to compete in the FINA Diving World Cup. Johnston represented the United States in the individual and synchronized 3-meter springboard events while Gundry dove for her native country of South Africa on the platform.
Johnston first teamed with fellow American Laura Ryan in the women’s 3-meter synchro competition. The duo totaled 294.00 points in Saturday’s preliminary round to secure a spot in the final.
