AUBURN, Ala. – Guided by a 16-under-par score over the final two days of play, the fifth-ranked Duke women’s golf team turned in a second place finish at the Evans Derby Experience Tuesday against a solid field at the 6,280-yard, par 72 Auburn University Club in Auburn, Ala.
In the final round, Leona Maguire, Ana Belac and Miranda Wang combined to shoot seven-under-par as four Duke golfers finished in the top 17 of the individual leaderboard, including three in the top 10.
Arkansas closed the event with a 28-under score on its way to winning the team title with an 836, while Duke (845), Alabama (850), Auburn (863), Florida State (865), South Carolina (866), Florida (866), Louisville (876), Wake Forest (880) and Ole Miss (888) closed the top 10 teams.
