HILTON HEAD, S.C. – After taking the lead on the back nine Sunday, the Duke women’s golf team couldn’t hold on and finished second at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate with a nine-over-par, 861, ledger at the 6,160-yeard, Par 71 Pete Dye Course at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head, S.C.
Alabama carded a seven-over-par, 859, to win by two strokes over the Blue Devils, while Arizona State (865), South Carolina (876), Georgia (880), Furman (883), Baylor (890), Wake Forest (892), Oklahoma State (895) and North Carolina (897) rounded out the top 10 teams.
Cheyenne Knight of Alabama carded a six-under-par, 65, Sunday in the final round to take home the individual title with an eight-under-par, 205.
