ORLANDO, Fla. – On a rainy Saturday night at the USTA National Campus, the Duke men’s tennis team was blanked, 4-0, by No. 17 Tennessee.
With rain in the forecast, the teams started outdoors with singles in an attempt to beat the showers. The rains arrived early and forced the contest indoors. With the match being played to clinch, no doubles took place as the Volunteers secured four singles victories.
Duke slips to 3-5 this season while Tennessee improves to 6-1.
The Volunteers took a 1-0 lead with a 7-5, 6-0 victory by Preston Touliatos on court five against senior Vincent Lin.
